Death With Benefits
My name is Mallory Mordaunt. I am in my 30s. I'm a writer, bartender, illustrator, baker, sculpture, motorcycle enthusiast, part time landscaper for our local Olmsted Parks here in the city of good neighbors. A true jerk of all trades. I enjoy riding, wrenching and traveling every minute of everyday that I'm not asleep or at work. When I spend time making art I find myself making friends in all shapes and forms. I suffer from PTSD stemming from past domestic assault, sexual assault, physical abuse and anesthesia awareness while undergoing full spinal fusion at the age of 14 years old and recently mildly from the theft of my beloved motorcycle. Riding has always benefited me. As a teen, riding with my Pop, then later riding with others. Life on the back of a bike wasn't for me. I am in my 3rd season as a solo rider and wrencher, learning more than I ever have by getting my hands dirty and gaining more saddle time. My goal is for people beginning and nostalgic for when they were, people who struggle with PTSD to follow my journey and share in the growth as I enter this new chapter of my life. Knowledge is power and in large numbers we can create a helpful database. No need to impress anyone or look a certain way. Just following my love. Motorcycle riding has been used to help treat PTSD for years and has proven extremely helpful to me personally.
